Pretty Prairie students attend school in the Pretty Prairie Unified School District 311. Student enrollment is about 270. Students can participate in various activities including FFA, Quiz Bowl, Forensics and the school play.

Kansas Largest Night Rodeo
Every July the small town of Pretty Prairie, Kansas hosts a four day event that is attended by thousands of rodeo fans from all over the world. The money raised by this event stays in the community to provide scholarships to high school seniors, help groups such as the Prairie Sunset Home, local food bank, scout troops and the 4-H club.
